Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE Jelly Bean Update Gets Released

By david

Not too long ago we’ve reported that the sought-after Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Jelly Bean update has been finally launched and now it seems that the 4G LTE model is getting the same treatment. However, at this moment, the update is being rolled-out only in South Korea so don’t spam that “Check Now” button yet as it would be pretty much futile.

Nevertheless, the update should arrive soon in other regions as well, so let’s take a look at what changes we can expect.

Samsung Galaxy note 10.1 LTE Jelly Bean (Android 4.1)

One of the most noticeable end-user improvements is the new Multi Window feature which has been available on the Note 2 immediately after launch. The Note 10.1 also benefited from an earlier version of this particular app, but the one that debuted on the tablet had its fair share of limitations.

Other changes include enhancements to the S-Note app, with improved S-Pen functionalities such as Easy Clip. Air View is also present in the latest firmware so now you’ll be able to preview messages, appointments, videos, pictures and more, by simply hovering the S-Pen above them, without the need of opening the files / emails etc.

In addition, this latest update also includes VoLTE, a feature that will improve upon the regular LTE and as a result, your tablet will no longer disable the data connection when voice calls are going to be made.

There’s no word from Samsung as to when will this new firmware be deployed on the Note 10.1 LTE in other regions, but we’re definitely going to keep an eye out on the manufacturer and keep you posted as soon as the story develops, so stay tuned.
